I lead the team that created the Global Toolkit for Run For The Oceans — a running event that seeks to eliminate plastic waste from polluting our seas. The global race brings millions of runners together in over 30 countries to raise awareness and combat the devastating effects that plastic pollution is causing to habitats and wildlife. Partnering with Parley for the Oceans, a nonprofit organization dedicated to conserving our seas and ocean life, adidas committed to marine-saving actions. For each KM run, adidas invests in Parley’s environmental initiatives that intercept plastics before they reach the ocean. Our creative approach was simple — focus on sustainable, modular design solutions made from low-impact materials that are easily accessible, rentable, reusable, and recyclable.
