CHICAGO: HISTORY ILLUSTRATED

Pluralsight

In collaboration with the talented folks at Jolby & Friends, we created a mural for Pluralsight – an online platform featuring expert-led technology and creative training courses. The 48-foot-long mural was split into two sections and installed at their Chicago office. One side represented the history of Chicago and the other side Schaumburg, a nearby suburb. The mural combined 2D and 3D assets to create a merged perspective illustration and included hundreds of Chicago-themed references. We collected facts from architecture, art, film, music, cuisine, politics, sports, and locals-only humor and visualized them in a way that would keep the viewer searching to find all the hidden imagery. Look close enough, and long enough, and you’ll find references to The Blues Brothers, Second City, John Hughes, Wayne’s World, the Bulls, the Cubs, Twinkies, Deep Dish Pizza, Eagle Man, Harry Caray, and many more.
