BRIDGETOWN BREAKS

Self-Initiated

Bridgetown Breaks is a drum and percussion compilation performed by Portland musicians. The two volume collection was released on vinyl, CD and digital formats and is a sample library for DJs and producers. The series was well received within the local and international DJ community and quickly amassed accolades and positive reviews from the press. Within months of the first release, we secured an international distribution deal and began selling records all over the world. Bridgetown Breaks was also the first record of its genre to be licensed for a major motion picture – Jason Reitman’s first feature film, Thank You for Smoking. Our intent was to create a modern artifact that documented a small cross-section of Pacific Northwest culture and, in doing so, provide future generations with a physical medium that would continue to inspire their own musical creations.
